6 Months Old

Happy 6th Month Birthday to Elliot Francis!

It's hard to believe that it's been 6 months since Elliot came into our lives!  He is the light of our life and we can't imagine life without him. 

We've also noticed some wonderful developmental milestones over the past month - we have been working with a wonderful woman from Easter Seals who comes to our house every Tuesday.  She has been helping Elliot work on his strength and coordination.  She has taught us all sorts of exercises and given us tips on what types of toys Elliot should have.  We have really started to notice a change in him and it's so great watching him follow us with his eyes and use his rattle weights to make music. 

We have half way thru Elliot's club foot casting and we could not be happier - it will be so wonderful when we are done with the casting stage.  The casts are heavy, about 6 ounces and it's just uncomfortable for him so we can't wait when we turn them in for the braces!  Elliot will have a hospital procedure next week for them so we will spend one night up in Labanon - we will be in friendly territory so we are not overly nervous. 

Otherwise life for the Perry's is good - we are very busy but we wouldn't have it any other way!  We've enjoyed a pretty mild winter and we hope it stays that way!  

Exercise!

I've been looking for developmental toys online for Elliot and came across a set of 4 rattles - they are all one color and small, perfect size for Elliot.  They were created  by a mom with a premiee and Elliot loves to use them - as you can see by the photo he's doing some arm strenthening with them on Saturday evening.

BJ and I had a chance to take in one of the Debates this primary season so we asked my sister to come spend some time with Elliot - as you can see she had some babysitting help...Liberty!  I snapped this quick picture with all 3 of them!  They had a wonderful morning and we enjoyed the debate. 

Update

Happy 2012!  We've been a very busy since the holiday's but wanted to post some new pics that we've taken!  My mom got us a baby bjorn and we decided to give it a shot and see how Elliot likes it - much to our surprise he loved it!  We were able to walk around the house with him and wheel his oxygen - he was able to get new views and be on the move!  A new favorite for all of us - the photo is of my looking down at him in it - he's all smiles!
